As a human being our health is the only treasure we have to care about for long life living. Now a days, everyone is working so hard and worry about his career. Most people do not know how harmful to push themselves into work and forget about their life and health. Recently, people think that their career is more valuable than themselves. They are investing time in work more than themselves. People within their work and concentrating in certain things are destroying their health by different ways. Because of the stress they live in with work people do not have time to do several things. For example, in regards to save time they do not cook or even eat healthy natural food, so they go for fast food, they do not have time to gather with their family and friends, or take a break to relax, and lastly they do not get a healthy life if they put all pressure in work and waste their lives to work. They are losing their health in order to get the perfect work. On the other hand, our capacity is related to time and how much work we can do. According to Tony Schwartz who is the president and founder of the Energy Project in New York City, and a coauthor of The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, Is the Key to High Performance and Personal Renewal (Free Press, 2003). And Catherine McCarthy is a senior vice president at the Energy Project. They notes that “The core problem with working longer hours is that time is a finite resource. Energy is a different story. Defined in physics as the capacity to work, energy comes from four main wellsprings in human beings: the body, emotions, mind, and spirit.” To have a well being body, and mind full of energy basically it comes from good natural foods. Workers need high energy to work. The energy and capacity come from nurture and natural foods. In relation to health versus time our life should be balanced, time management should be also into our lives and it is important to have a good life. As a society we need to empower people to make healthier food choices by providing healthy restaurants for food lovers, establish organizations and campaigns to let people be aware of what they are eating and helping them to recognize every main meal to avoid obesity and ban fast food. People who want to save time should have balance and manage their lifetime as I stated earlier. Eating junk or fast food lead to many different diseases that the body will be in danger like high blood pressure and heart diseases, health problems such as obesity which lead people to die young. In addition to fast food side effect it could destroy the body inside and outside, which is basically the overweight gets people into no self-control to have a decision in food. The United States of America is the most obese country in the world, which is sad to hear. The ministry of health should work hard to decrease this issue.
According to the Ministry of health in the United Kingdom argues “developing some new laws and procedures in health facilities generally, in all parts of Britain and particular hospitals is to prevent the sale of such fast food harmful to health or brought in from outside the venue and addressed it.” Adding new rules in restaurants is the only way that can provide people healthy choices seriously and one of the factors to ban fast food too. First, restaurants should have licenses limited to healthy food and supplements. Second, the rules should be based on people’s requests and managing food safety. What I mean by healthy restaurants is to have system of diet and food with no fats or high calories that could damage our body whether inside or outside, and to have a good amount of the variety of all food groups. We have subway as a good example. It serves healthy fresh sandwiches in worldwide. Providing more of these kinds of restaurants to help people with the right decision, to keep healthy heart and healthy body, to prevent the different types of diseases for long-term, and to help their body weight stays healthy. Here is an example of rules setting in Washington State that most governments should follow and be able to set up them in the community. They sets food safety rules in providing food code in the community they live in, which is adopted from United States Public health in 2009 with modifications. Washington State retail food code mentioned “The Food Code serves as the basis for food service rules in most states and provides Washington with rules that are more consistent with the national food safety standards.” These rules estimated under specific knowledge with latest updates in food science regulations.
Establish campaigns and organizations to guide and control people into certain guidelines to protect their health in order to reduce obesity. The basic organizations could be by TV, conferences, and brochures in schools. It is better to start at younger ages to raise awareness. Moreover, the ministry of health has a big role in planning for public health that affect people and raise the awareness to prohibit fast food and avert obesity. People who struggle in cooking and do not have time to cook should follow a special diet within varieties of vitamins and contains good amount of all food groups. More importantly, as a society we are able to create new huge project that support employers and workers, which is better to have a booth serves healthy meals with delicious tastes in every workplaces to help people and protect them with best circumstance, to end that trying to prevent people from eating fast food that allows people suffering from several diseases. Fast food helps being in overweight, which leads to the exhaustion, inactivity, and laziness, besides they are the reasons of obesity.
People who want to save time should have balanced and learn to manage their lifetime by making everyday schedule including daily routine. They will be able to have time with everything they want to do. Especially for those people who love to work, they think eating fast food could save their time while working. But it is totally wrong; by the time it will damage their health and body. What I suggest that they can cook on the weekend and save the fresh food in the refrigerator for the following week. This is the easiest way to save time and effort. Also, it is a good way to keep us from fast food. Above all, time managing could change our whole life. Success has benefits; but health is everything.” Health is our wealth and it is the primary need that we cannot live without. Without well health we cannot do work, also we cannot accomplish our future. There is an old saying “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body” So we all should try not to hesitate in keeping our health well because the mind is connected to the brain. For this reason, it helps make a healthy body even if the body is not healthy. Human’s mind is the main source of having a well-being body. To sum up, good health is equal to your long term of life living.
